| Included in this book is a large selection of essays about women in religion, the bible and the church. Other sections are God...the Bible......Holidays....Nature....and a very lengthy section on Contemporary issues....such as "Homophobics and Leviticus...." "Viagra and Impotence.." (we need Viagra for the heart)..."Lets Sue Everybody"..."The Sanitized Life"...and so forth. About thirty essays in this section.
On the cover is a spectacular hooked rug...nine feet in diameter made as a present for my 75th birthday by my wife. She is an artist of this craft and is sought out by interior decorators in the Palm Springs area, as well as Sonoma County where she hooked a rug... 6 ft in diameter..for the new tasting room of the Geyser Peak Winery. The rug was the design of their logo. |

This picture has great significance to me due to the fact that I have a life long fascination with the Plains, Sioux and Cheyenne Indians. Directly behind us on the wall is a buffalo skull, one of their most sacred items, the reason this buffalo skull has such significance to me is that this was one of the "wild ones" that ran free in Montana. A rancher friend found this and gave it to me. Most skulls bought today are from animals that have been penned up and they have lost "the spirit". This buffalo ran free filled with the spirit of Wakan Tanka the great mystery To the left is a Sioux pipe holder, for the sacred pipe, and to the right is a pair of Sioux ceremonial moccasins |
